In October, Milan was pulsing not only with fashion but also with industrial innovations. In the world of science, one event dominated the conversations about the future of medicine – CPHI 2024. This annual conference has become a key space where technology meets vision, and the future of pharmacy takes tangible shape.
This year’s 35th anniversary edition of CPHI attracted over 62,000 participants from 166 countries. More than 2,400 exhibitors showcased their achievements in the halls of Fiera Milano, while over 180 experts from around the globe took the stage. It was a true center of inspiration and exchange of ideas.
In this arena of future medicine discussions, BIOTON was present as always. Each year, our team participates in CPHI, and it is consistently an inspiring and valuable experience. This year, the participants included:
- Jeremy Launders – CEO and President of the Management Board
- Dariusz Gurtowski – Science and Technology Director
- Jolanta Lis – Supply Chain Director
- Mateusz Kosecki – Global Biolek Business Unit Director
- Iryna Radchenko – Business Development Manager
CPHI, inaugurated in 1989, annually attracts the most renowned experts and the latest technologies, creating a space where the pharmaceutical future becomes the present. This year’s edition placed special emphasis on sustainability, with the theme “Building a More Sustainable Pharma Future” setting a clear direction for action.
The presentations and discussions were dominated by innovations aimed at minimizing the pharmaceutical industry’s impact on the environment. Sustainable drug production, process automation, and new approaches to clinical trials filled the three days with intense debates, workshops, and meetings.
The BIOTON team returned from Milan with new contacts, fresh ideas, and plans for the future. These valuable insights will help us better plan future processes and projects. We are also pleased to see that our steps toward an ESG strategy and environmentally friendly actions are being followed by others in the industry.
