1. What position do you hold at BIOTON?
I currently work as a Buyer in the Procurement and Administration Department
2. What are your responsibilities at BIOTON?
I handle contracts for capital purchases, production machinery, laboratory equipment, new technologies, technical purchases, and utilities such as electricity, natural gas, and LPG. I also manage investment projects. I oversee the fleet and collaborate with other departments at Bioton as well as with external service providers.
3. What was your path to your current position?
I graduated from Lublin University of Technology with a master’s degree in civil engineering, and even during my studies, I knew that my career could not be solely connected to a design office or construction site. That’s when I began working in the purchasing department to combine my knowledge and interests. Initially, I worked in construction companies, then in pharmaceutical firms. I joined Bioton team in 2021.
4. What are you most proud of in your work?
I am most proud of the successful completion of major investment projects: construction of LPG tanks and a photovoltaic installation, which I led as Project Leader. These investments were a significant logistical challenge and involved a tremendous amount of work, dedication, and determination to achieve the goal. They also required the application of various leadership skills, allowing me to excel in a new role.
Moreover, these projects will bring many benefits to our company, including significant cost savings and contributing to environmental protection by reducing carbon dioxide emissions. This directly supports our commitment to pro-environmental actions and demonstrates how investments in modern technologies strengthen our position as a leader in the industry that cares about sustainable development and innovation.
5. What inspires you in your work?
There is no routine in capital purchasing; each task is a new story, an opportunity to meet new people, learn new ways of thinking, and discover new solutions. Additionally, I am inspired by the ability to make things happen, the recognition, and the support of the team.
6. What advice would you give to individuals starting their career path?
Be open, patient, aim high, and stay focused on your goal.
