1 . What is your position at Bioton?

I work as a Medical Representative.

2. What do you do at Bioton?

I promote medicines, train medical staff and represent BIOTON in my designated area.

3. What did your path to your current position look like?

My career path is quite unusual. I am of Polish origin, but I was born in Belarus. I studied in Russia, first in St Petersburg and then in Moscow. In Moscow I also started my professional career working for pharmaceutical companies. A few years later, I ended up in Poland in a somewhat unexpected way. Then I saw a BIOTON job offer on the Internet and applied. I went through the recruitment process and received a job offer.

4. Within your work what are you most proud of?

I am proud to have started working in a new country and in a short time I have already established good relationships with many clients.

5. What inspires you at work?

I draw satisfaction from the fact that I can use my experiences from working in another country in Poland. I compare how the same tasks are fulfilled in different economic and cultural settings. I am also inspired by my colleagues from Moscow, who ask me what it is like to work in Poland.

6. What are the similarities and what are the differences?

Above all in BIOTON I have noticed extensive training opportunities and easy access to substantive knowledge. Also, clearly defined responsibilities and expectations of the employees. In Russia, on the one hand, we obviously work according to a specific strategy, but there is also a lot of room for imagination and improvisation. There is also a difference in the availability of work tools, to Poland’s advantage.

7. What advice would you give to people who are just starting out on their career path?

The basics are the most important. To learn them you need to choose the right organisation that invests in its employees. Only with a strong foundation can you develop and build your competences.

8. What do you value most about BIOTON?

BIOTON is a brand in its own right and has an established position on the market. It is an innovative company investing in research and development. I also like the fact that at Bioton you can count on your colleagues, that decisions are made quickly and problems are solved on an ongoing basis.

9. What do you think are the most desirable employee qualities for your position?

Openness to people, ability to establish positive relations and, in more difficult cases, “when a door closes, ability to climb through a window”.
