3. How did you get to your current position and what are you most proud of?
I am now in my fourth month at BIOTON. I am proud to be part of a team which is making a real difference every day to diabetic patients in Poland and abroad.
For over 23 years I have been working for multinational companies in the pharmaceutical industry, where I have successfully implemented marketing and commercial strategies, including route-to-market, while maintaining high ethical standards.
My biggest joy is discovering and developing the potential of people by increasing individual and team effectiveness in what I call “The Winning Attitude” and that is the source of my daily motivation.
4. What inspires you in your work?
The story of “The Viking with a Pigeon Heart” by Sir Ernest Shackleton has been my inspiration to build my leadership and helped me in difficult situations to find the right way in working with people.
Also, for over 20 years I have been a player of Polonia Bytom sports club, where I play water polo nationally and internationally as a representative of Poland.
This physically and mentally exacting discipline takes teamwork, preparation and tactical thinking gave me a thorough grounding for many of my business skills, while also helping me build a positive attitude every day.
5. What advice would you give to people who are starting their career?
Career development is like a long journey you need to be well prepared for. It’s good to have a destination and a plan of what you need to do to get there. Rushing is not advisable, and the rest is just the right time, place, being open to change and having a positive attitude, what I call “The Winning Attitude.” Patience, persistence and hard work are an unbeatable combination for success. There are no impossible things, there are only those we give up on too quickly.
