1. What is your position in the Bioton company?

I am the Quality Control Manager.

2. What do you do at Bioton?

My main duty is to carry out Quality Control tasks in accordance with the applicable pharmaceutical law and the implemented GMP system at Bioton: I am responsible for the quality of the starting materials in use, packaging and the finished product, which saves people’s health and life.

3. How did your path to your current position look like?

16 years ago, after graduating from the Warsaw University of Technology, I started as a technologist at the Department of Biotechnology, that is, in the „heart” of Bioton, where insulin is produced with the use of E.Colli strain.
I developed my skills and competences, worked with many interesting projects and inspiring people. Over time, I was promoted to the position of a Senior Technologist and Manager of the In-process Control Team.

4. What are you most proud of in you work?

I will answer perversely: of Insulin!
It is the first Polish biotechnology product based on a genetically modified strain, produced in a modern factory. The work and determination of great specialists, of which I am a part, allowed for the development and success of the company. My personal success is the implementation of the data integrity policy for the Empower computerized system in the Bioton analytical laboratory.

5. What inspires you at work?

My main inspiration at work are people, the atmosphere they create, openmindness, mutual kindness, their wilingness to change and to self-development.

6. What advice would you give to those who are just starting their career path?

“There is no elevator to success, you have to take stairs, step by step”.
