1. What is your position in the Bioton company?

I am the Coordinator of the Registration Department.

2. What do you do at Bioton?

Together with the team, we are in charge of the registration processes worldwide for medicinal products according to national as well as European procedures. We prepare registration dossier based on the requirements of the Pharmaceutical Law specified in modules 1, 2 and 3. We are also responsible for regulatory processes regarding medical devices, cosmetics, dietary supplements and Food for Special Medical Purpose. We develop the registration strategy for new medicinal products, revise leaflet texts and package labelling. We track regulatory requirements for any relevant changes with relevance to medicinal products and medical devices to ensure their effective implementation. We cooperate with international authorities, notified bodies, customers and registration partners.

3. How did your path to your current position look like?

My career path started when I got hired by a research institute, where I was involved in the study of antibiotic resistance of microorganisms. I then entered the pharmaceutical industry, working first for the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products, followed by a stint in a number of multinational pharmaceutical companies. I joined Bioton recently, around 10 months ago. For the first 7 months I worked as a Senior Drug Registration Specialist, then I was promoted to Registration Department Coordinator.

4. What are you most proud of in your work?

What I am most proud of is the people I have the pleasure of working with, their ability to cope in difficult moments, not giving up and always being steadfast in their pursuit of goals. They are what motivate me to strive and achieve. I am also proud of the fact that with my work I contribute to improving the quality of life of diabetic patients.

5. What inspires you at work?

I am inspired by new challenges and the results and outcomes of our team’s work.

But most of all, I am inspired by the people I work with every day, their positive attitude to life, creativity and knowledge give me a daily dose of motivation.

6. What advice would you give to those who are just starting their career path?

Look ahead, take action and don’t dwell on failures. The energy you put into reflecting on failures is better used on a new idea and how to make it a reality.
